Latest Brew

2/5/2017- Well folks, down here in our parts Pensacola Pat (our new unofficial mullet posing as a groundhog) just jumped out of the water and saw his shadow, and you know what that means.  That's right, six more hours of winter for the Panhandle.  But more importantly, it's Mardi Gras time!  I just had my first piece of king cake for the season, and I can guarantee it won't be my last.  In the spirit of Carnival we went ahead and put the forks down long enough to record our version of "Mardi Gras Mambo", a standard around here.  You can swing on by the On Tap page and have a listen at your leisure.  We're even going to let you take it with you as a free download, how's that for a throw.  Well, I'm going to have to keep this one short, got ribs in the smoker and a little thing called the Super Bowl to watch.  Maybe I'll have a hurricane with the game.

1/5/2017- Well what do you know, we made it here another year.  Got to apologize for not getting back sooner.  This time of year we try to spend as much time as we can with family and friends.  Not to mention there's a lot going on behind the scenes here.  We're working hard to get back out there on the stage soon, and plans are still a go for a new release around the middle of April.  In the meantime swing on by the On Tap page and get your last taste of Christmas.  We've still got a special tune available to stream, and you can even download it for free.  But do it now, we've got plans for a new brew to hit the tap VERY soon (as in the next two weeks).  And what flavor are we serving?  Not trying to give it away, but we'll definitely be "throwing you something mister" in the Taproom.  Sorry to keep this so short, got to get back to the world of emails and condenser mics.  And string snappin', always snappin' dem strings.

11/29/2016 - We're all wrapped up with the turkey and napping, so that leaves only one thing to do.  That's right, we jumped up in the attic and pulled down all the decorations.  It's definitely looking a bit like Christmas around these parts of the old web.  Now we know that you've been good this year, well at least as good as can be expected.  So to celebrate the nice over naughty we're going to give you an early gift.  You're still going to have to wait until December 1st to open it, but it's going to be available to unwrap at the On Tap page in just a few days.  And speaking of giving, why not swing on out to the First City Arts Center in Pensacola, Florida this Saturday, December 3rd, and bring a whole sled full of non-perishable food items.  And you can enjoy some great bands in the process, including us Brew-Elves.  We're hoping to see you there.

11/3/2016 - And it's official.  Rue Blue, our latest album, is available at all your friendly neighborhood on-line stores, as long as your neighborhood is Amazon, iTunes, CD Baby, Bandcamp, and Google Play stores that is.  We had a great time releasing this thing at the Music Box October 15, and if you haven't already I encourage you to swing on by the Music page and give her a spin.  We're quite proud of how this one turned out, and we sincerely hope you feel the same.  But we're not resting on our laurels around here, no sir.  We're already busy writing and banging through the next set of Brewers gems, and we're shooting for an April 15 release date for that one.  And as a special treat, seeing yall have been so good all year, check out our new On Tap page December 1 for an early Brewers present, freshly tapped just for you.

10/4/2016 - It's almost upon us.  After a few months of recording and mixing we are ready to unleash the new Spearman Brewers album "Rue Blue".  This one's definitely not the stripped down affair of the last EP.  We broke out the mandolins, ukuleles, washboards, and pretty much any string we could get our hands on for this one.  What came out was something we're damn proud of, and we're throwing a party for it.  On October 15 (the official release date) we'll be slapping dem strings at the Music Box in Pensacola at 1pm, debuting a number of songs we've yet to play live.  We'll also have our friend Lang Holloman along for the ride, playing a set of his latest CD "Soul Bells".  After this last weekend's sets of older stuff at the Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival we're definitely ready to ring in some new stuff, so come out and join the celebration.
